Hello from the Coast

 Timothy Floyd is a writer and storyteller with a lifelong calling, motivating others to think more deeply about life and faith. After decades as a successful pastor, he relocated to an island off the Georgia Coast and began a career in writing. What started with short stories for mystery magazines soon brought him to one of life’s great mysteries, the Book of Revelation.  He studied the book for years while serving local churches, but finally had time to commit his thoughts to writing. The result has been The Epic Life: Revelation, Resistance, and Revival.

He explains his current passion like this. “In the pastorate, I always wondered how to get past the skeptical filters so many people click into place when listening to sermons. It’s not like that watching movies or reading novels. We relax our filters in the interest of entertainment, but new ideas come rushing in unexamined. As a mystery writer, I’m learning how to transmit powerful underlying truths while transporting readers with a compelling story. It’s been adventure learning how to do that.”

In his spare time, Timothy enjoys outdoor coastal living, boating, exploring historical sites, and teaching the Bible. He and his wife Jonnel celebrate God's goodness with three grown children and eleven grandkids.
